In an effort to help spread awareness and educate our youth on the importance of organ an tissue donation, the University of Toronto Transplant Institute in partnership with Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN), launched the High School Outreach Initiative. The experience involves presentations that provide secondary school students with a unique opportunity to hear from world class healthcare professionals about organ and tissue donation and transplantation, and to hear the incredible stories of those who have lived through it. This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the presentations will be done virtually.

The HSOI is looking for transplant recipients, caregivers, living donors and donor family members who are interested in telling their story and would like to be a part of this very special project.
